Not sure what to say?

Dear Nel & Family,
So sorry to learn of Don's passing. I always had great admiration of him for his friendly smile, laughter, enthusiasm for life, and his eloquence on the platform. He was a master in his choice of words.
I assumed a territory in northeast Ohio for Scott, Foresman in 1958 and all that I encountered was the many great things he had done for school educators. Don gave me the necessary help that I needed. He was certainly a motivator and an inspiration to anyone...

Dear Nel and Family,
I was sorry to find out today the sad news about Don. He was a part of our lives through Bill's friendship at Scott Foresman. Bill always appreciated their friendship and thought Don was a fine man. We loved his wonderful smile and know he will be missed.
Sending love and sympathy,

I will truly miss Don's smiling face on a hot summer day, has he tended to his yard. The backyard we share will not be quite the same. My heart aches for you Nel. I am just a step away if you need anything. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.

Nel, I just learned of Don's death. I am so saddened to learn about it. I am rememberingour days together; those Sunday mornings at Lake Erie Beach with the kids, our days in Wooster and the times we met in Ny CIty at Carnegie Hall. God Bless you, Jim, Don and their families.

Words fail. I met Don when he applied for the position of salesman with Scott, Foresman & Co. I worked in Ohio schools with him many years ago. I knew him as a true Christian and a delightful friend who always had a smile and a quick laugh. I am blessed by the memory of him.

Jim, LouAnn, Ellery, Clark and family,

So sorry to hear about your loss. Louann often spoke about what a dear man he was. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

The Shawver Family:
I worked for Don as a salesman
and as Office Manager in Oakland.
Don typified for all of us the
qualifications of a Christian
gentleman. It was an honor to
have known him. My sympathies to
you all.

Nell and family,
What a shock to receive Jim's email and to learn of the passing of my dear friend Don. Don and I worked together but beyond that we were good friends. We had the pleasure of having Don and Nell visit us at Kiawah a number of years ago. I treasure the wonderful ink sketches he gave me and I know I will treasure them even more now and in the days to come. Don was such a fun person to have as a friend. I'll never forget the 'red dress' he sent me after I left Films Inc. An...

Nell ... I am saddened to learn of Don's death. He was the most enthusiastic person I have ever met, and he played a large part in all of our lives while serving as our Regional Vice President in Oakland. My heart goes out to you and the family.
