Donald L. Shoemaker, 85, of Quakertown, PA, formerly of Elmira, NY, passed away Sunday, July 21st, at his residence.
Donald was born in Portland, PA on September 12, 1933, a son of the late Arthur J. and Clara Mae (Bartleson) Shoemaker.
He was the widower of Louise Shoemaker, who passed away in 2009. Donald attended Bangor High School and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Donald was employed as a truck driver at the former Houdialle Concrete in Mt. Bethel, PA.
Donald is survived by a sister, Arlene Miller, wife of Ronald, a brother, James Shoemaker, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Wallace Shoemaker.
Family and friends are invited to call from 10 - 11 AM on Thursday, July 25, 2019, at the Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 4 Lillian Lane, "Village of Johnsonville", Bangor, PA.
