Not sure what to say?

He was a good friend. A tireless worker and always aware of everything around him.
He did a lot of kind things that no one knew about and he loved his children and was
very proud of them. A good man and his company is a fitting legacy.
Proud to have known him and worked with him.

I've never met you, but I did recently here the story of how you left your entire estate to Lighthouse for The Blind a non-profit (news website about it below).

That one man could do such an incredibly generous thing is very moving.

I was very sad to read that you passed away alone. Your generosity has inspired and changed my life outlook. I hope I can be as kind as you have been to those in need in your lifetime.

Your kind heart and inspiration does live on, rest in...

I was young... Working for him. He was amazing. Always up and up. Walking the stairs on his hands. Blew me away as a kid. I was young, but respected him and his courtesy towards me. Haven't seen him in 30 yrs sorry it won't come to be again. Be peaceful all! Don had/made a great life for those who allowed it.

"Nothing fazed him, no insult or anger or violence or getting his face beat into a hamburger. He was a true businessman.
He knew the value of everything." Robert Penn Warren, "All The King's Men"

Dear Eric and Anna,

I will always remember the early years when
your Dad and I would fly to New York to
meet with Styvesant Insurance. In those days your Dad was in incredible shape and
enjoyed walking on his hands. I still remember the look on everyone's face when he walked on his hands down the aisle of the
airplane we were taking to New York,

Your Dad was his own person and supremely
confident of his abilities as well he should have been.

I too remember...

I will never forget the Christmas party you had for our boys, the mentor you were to my husband, the friend you were to me. You were loved, admired, and respected. Thank-you.

A Very Remarkable Person. I had the pleasure of watching him make some very powerful business insurance brokers in Portland squirm when they obviously didn't understand Don's proclivity for using profanity as a negotiating tool. Spurilina and shivalingam. - Joe Woods

There are far too many memories to put in this guest book. I was not bored for a minute in the time I was at CBIC. You kept my life interesting! You need the rest -- you rarely were at rest during life. Thank you Don for looking out for your CBIC family.

With affection and fondness for the good times we had together. You will live forever in my memory.
