Not sure what to say?

In December of 1982 I was diagnosed with Testicular cancer at the age of 28. Dr. Skinner and his team at Good Samaritan performed the surgery and provided the follow-up oncology protocol that saved my life, I am forever grateful for his kindness and professionalism. God bless you Donald.

In 1999 my father was in Dr. Skinner´s care. We were so hopeful in his hands, when he came out to tell us how rarely he is surprised in the OR and how sad he was to find that my father´s situation required him to close him right up and consider quality of life. All these years later, I tell that story and remember the kindness and true humility in his delivery. He so candidly spoke of the human my father was...genuine, kind, generous.. and how it pained him to have to make this pivot in his...

I was not a doctor, just a regular employee working at the front desk of the hospital. But I had the honor of knowing Dr. D. Skinner for many years. He would always pass by in the mornings with a kind "good morning," and sometimes I´d see him driving with his convertible with the top down. You always knew it was Dr. Skinner when you saw those license plates that read "T- Pouch." I think that´s what it said. He was a great and amazing person, humble, down to earth. Even though he was one of...

Dr. Skinner will always be my HERO! In 1984 I was diagnosed with kidney cancer. I will never forget when I first met him, he said "I'm your doctor and I will be taking care of you". Each visit he would have his group of medical personnel with him and he would introduce me as his favorite school principal. He always did so until my final annual visit 10 years later. I am alive today with one beautiful kidney and I owe my life to Dr. Skinner - MY HERO. Chris Gregg

Donald Skinner and Dr. Brian Henderson spent many years working together at the USC Cancer Norris center. He was a good friend and a dear friend to Dr. Henderson and to our family. I remember good conversations with Shirley. He was a great man want to be respected and admired and emulated. God bless you Don May you rest in Peace ,Amen .

We are truly sad to hear of Don's passing. He was an amazing surgeon and friend. I first met him in 2002 when I had just been diagnosed with prostate cancer. We were looking at treatment options and were told by several people to see Don Skinner at USC. A friend got us in to see him very quickly. When we met him, a calmness came over myself and my wife. He explained exactly what was going on and the treatment he would do. We scheduled surgery that day. His nerve sparing surgery was...
