Not sure what to say?

To all the Sluggetts, and especially to Larry who I knew so well, my deepest thoughts to you in this time of sorrow. May you always remember the best of times you had with Don. Much love and hugs.

Murray, Larry and all the family. I was very sorry to hear of the sudden loss of your brother. Much too soon! May your hearts be filled with wonderful memories of times spent together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Marilyn/Larry/Murray and families,

I heard the sad news today.I am forever grateful to Don for giving me my chance to work for the Forest Service of British Columbia in 1981.This was followed by numerous years of fun times at badminton tournaments all over Vancouver Island. Those were the days...
My thoughts are with you all.

Very sad to hear this. I bumped into Don as the MOE Habitat Tech assigned to provide a greener viewpoint to the Campbell River Forest District. Under Darcy's and Don's leadership I always felt listened to and benefited from a high level of mutual respect.

To Marilyn, Larry and the whole Sluggett clan.....I had the pleasure of working with Don twice...first in 1975 on the Squamish Forestry Crew, and later in Campbell River. Marilyn might also remember that you were also my landlords for a while..my wife Colleen and I rented your house on Glacier Crescent, our first house as a young married couple. I always enjoyed Don, and respected his leadership. A good man gone...RIP Don.

"Don was always receptive and open to two-way conversation. I always felt comfortable providing Don with Ministry of Environment, Habitat Protection Section's strategic planning ideas and operational updates. He was a sound resource manager as well as a kind and generous man. Delivering fresh corn from Saanich to his staff in Campbell River? Just one of many worthy testimonials."

Don worked with me for many years as an Operations Manager. His expert knowledge of the job and professional input to problem solving was much appreciated. He very much earned the opportunity to take over from me as District Manager of the Campbell River Forest District.

My condolences to the Sluggett family.
I worked for and golfed with Don during his tenure as DM in Campbell River.
Lots of good memories.

Rest in peace Don.

My condolences to all of the Sluggett family. Don was a good man and will be missed by many.
