Not sure what to say?

Don had a strong heart for missions. He went with me on time to Sierra Leone and Liberia. I enjoyed working with Don and his late wife Joan. He was a good brother in Christ.

Don was a friend, mentor, advisor, parishioner, and beloved child of God! I am thankful for the years I knew him. One found memory is when we did at talent show at First UMC in Marion, IN and he sang I Am The Very Model of a Modern Major General and it got faster and faster and faster! And he never missed a word.

Don was valedictorian of our class of 1952 at Roosevelt High School in Dayton, Ohio. I was salutatorian, but Don was definitely the tops. Not only was he smart, but he was also witty, kind, and a friend to all. Dave, Don helped me with both Math (Geometry) and Science (Chemistry). He was an excellent teacher. I have so many fond memories of him. He is with his dear Joan, now. May his memory be a blessing.

I met Don Smith at a Sunday School class (Faith Sharing) at the Franklin Grace United Methodist Church. Don regularly participated in the class and was a person who had clear ideas and commitments. Conversations in the class revealed that we agreed in many of the perspectives that we discussed. My studies were in philosophy and religion. His education included some peripheral aspects of philosophy and religion, but his majors were in science and math at Harvard. Don had thought...

Don was such a special guy! He befriended us when we moved to Otterbein 2 yrs ago. When I got left at church by friends, Don gave me a ride to rejoin them, even though it was out of his way. He was in choir & I was in choir, and he was part of our lunch group from church. It was a joy and blessing to know Don. We will miss him! Prayers for comfort and peace for all of the family!

My husband Ron and I have been tax clients of Don and Joan for many years. They were such a wonderful couple and we always looked forward to seeing them. We're sending heartfelt prayers and condolences and hope it gives you comfort to know that Don and Joan are together again in eternity. God Bless.

I am very sad to learn of Don' s passing. We are related through the Michael family. Don always whole heartedly supported the Michael Family reunions. It was always such a pleasure to visit with him. My sincere sympathies to his children.

My husband and I were tax clients of Don and Joan and were also residents of Hill Valley and socialized with them at the resident picnic at German Park. They made a wonderful couple and will be together again. Thoughts and prayers for their family.

My husband David and I have been tax clients of Don and Joan's for more than 15 years. We always enjoyed meeting with the two of them and hearing all of their stories. They were both amazing and we will miss Don so much. Prayers and condolences to your family at this time of grief.
