Not sure what to say?

He was a wonderful teacher and advisor for my graduate computer science paper. As an undergrad, I remember him bringing one of his daughters to the lecture hall on the Douglass campus, having lost his wife in that terrible accident the previous year. He was an excellent lecturer, and would gladly meet students in his office if they needed. I am sorry he died so young, but happy that he got to be a grandfather! He was a special person, indeed.

I was so sorry to hear about Donny's passing and would like to offer my condolences to Lisa, my coworker and friend.

I am so sorry to read about this! I had not talked to Don for quite a while till last year, and had wanted to visit him. I was actually making plans today to come see him and tried to call, but when a stranger picked up the phone, I realized - and looked for obits. And I see the event in NJ today and would have loved to come but too late now (live in NC).
Don and I were officemates at RU. He was a great guy and smart as a whip, but a little known secret is that he was also a card sharp -...

What wonderful memories we hold so dear of both of your parents. They live on in our hearts.

My deepest sympathy to Lisa and the whole Smith family. I worked with Donnie for many years at Kreps he was a quote kind soul. I will truly miss him.

My loving Uncle, I will miss you so much! Visits to Wildwood will never be the same. I’ll cherish the memories and the photos for years to come. Love, your niece, Dana xoxo

May Don’s spirit live on in the hearts of all who loved him. My sincerest condolences to the entire Smith Family.

As I think about the Don I knew from our research group meetings, I remember his humor but also his quiet, unflappable competence. He was and will be missed.
