Thank you to everyone who came to the memorial service, and to everyone who sent cards, emailed, and phoned. Dear Betty, Carolyn and Joanne,
Herbi just emailed me the sad news of Don's passing. David and I are so very sorry for your loss. I have many wonderful memories of growing up with you in Williamstown, visiting you in Bethlehem and traveling in Germany. I know Hilde and Rudi who will be visiting later this month will sorely miss him.
Our heart felt condolences to you and your loved ones.

My deepest sympathies to Dr. Smyths Family. I worked as Dr. Smyths Secretary at the Materials Research Center in the late 70s/early 80s when it was located in Coxe Laboratory. His kindness and understanding along with his dry sense of humor made every work day a unique and pleasant experience. Im sure he will be sorely missed by both the Scientific and Lehigh Communities.

We are so sorry. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
