Not sure what to say?

I think as we get older, I for one , start to see the past better and I see how much Don was a part of my life. I could a lot of stories about those times. I think of them now and when I drive by the farm. Darold Jones

We had the honor of interviewing Don and touring his beautiful barn for THE BARN RAISERS. We are dedicating the special screening in Kalamazoo, MI on May 5th to Don. So glad we met him.

From myself and all Washtenaw Co people, thanks for the generous donation of land for park use. We will honor you, your family and the land for many years to come. THANKS. Blessings to all

I know Don and Lena sense 1950 when we moved to Frains Lake He was like a second dad to me. He taught me a lot while I worked on the farm. Lena was the kindest sweetest person. They both loved animals. The where like their children. Darold Jones

To Mr. Staebler's family, I would like to say how profoundly sorry I am for your loss. I drove past Mr. Staebler's property almost every day for 15 years. One day I decided to stop. He was very gracious, and an outstanding steward of the land he owned. I knew he was elderly but he was very enthusiastic and active and his outlook on life was just wonderful. I hope he rests in eternal peace.

I am so thankful that I was able to capture Don in a digital video of this great man and his tour of the farm. www.YouTube.com/WatchmanOfTheTracks

Gee, we lost an old neighbor and friend, of the Parker farm on Dixboro Rd. around the corner from Don (and Lena). He was in my dad's generation (born 1913). My sympathy to all.

My deepest sympathies. Mr. Staebler was such a nice person and neighbor. Always warm and friendly, he would let me go back into his pastures to draw and paint his cows whenever I wanted to. It must have given him a chuckle to watch his cows knock over my easel. He will be dearly missed. On behalf of myself, Cheryl & Pete~ Peace & Blessings to the family.
