Don was gifted with a gentle spirit that shone through even as a youngster. We started elementary school in 1st grade at Arlington School and my earliest recollection of Don was his perrenial wins as our spelling bee champion. He was a gracious winner and worked hard to carry our school name forward with honor. I really admired him.
