Donald C. Stimpson HYDE PARK - Donald C. Stimpson, 54, of Hyde Park, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2007 at home. Mr. Stimpson was the President of E.E. Stimpson & Son Inc. in Hyde Park and owner of Stimpson's House of Nutrition in Poughkeepsie. Born March 13, 1952 in Poughkeepsie, he was the son of Donald W. and June M. Swenson Stimpson. He was a graduate of F.D. Roosevelt High School, Class of 1970. Mr. Stimpson was a member of Regina Coeli Church in Hyde Park; National Swimming Pool Institute, Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce and Better Business Bureau. He was the sponsor of a little league team in Hyde Park and was active at All Sport and Planet Fitness. Survivors include his mother, June M. Stimpson; his son, Damian Christopher; his grandson, Gavin; his sister, Cheryl A. Lombardi of Pennsylvania his brother, Bruce E. Stimpson and his wife, Wendy of Pleasant Valley; his niece, Joslyn; and his nephews, Jared, Curtis and Eric. He was predeceased by his father, Donald W. Stimpson on June 26, 2004. Calling hours will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Monday, Jan. 8, at Sweet's Funeral Home Inc., Rt. 9, Hyde Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 9, at Regina Coeli Church, Rt. 9, Hyde Park. Father Michael Palazzo will be the celebrant. Burial of his ashes at the family plot at Calvary Cemetery, will be at the convenience of the family.
