Not sure what to say?

Merlene Schain, Sarah Stolar´s mother and Donald Stolar´s first wife, was the love of his life. He told Sarah before he died that divorcing Merlene was the biggest regret of his life. Donald Stolar decided to end his own life on January 11, 2008.

It is with deep sadness that I learned of the death of Don.
He was a boyhood friend of earliest
memory and was a member of one of
my favorite families.
The Stolars were significantly connected with my family and
their loss is our loss.
I send my heartfelt condolences to Bernadine and Sarah and all the Stolars.
He will be missed by all of us for his significant presence and meaningful life and quality concern.
He was a nice guy and was the only kid I knew who didn't...

Dear Bernadine,
I am so sad to learn of the passing of Don. I first met Don in Chicago when I was in my twenties and we were friends for many years and I looked forward to a holiday card each year for the past 26 years. I just found out about his passing this day when I googled him since the card was missing. I was not able to attend your wedding but know how happy he was with you and how much he loved and admired you. I remember watching Sarah skate around the house on his new wood...

Dear Mrs. Stolar;

Your husband was very helpful to me. I am sorry for your loss.

I just heard of Don's passing. We were classmates at USC many years ago and got together for lunch last September to catch up on the last 35 years. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. Please accept my deepest condolences--I will always remember Don so fondly and our time at USC

It was a comfort to know that
Dr. Stolar was there. Over the past 14 years, whenever my husband and I needed help, we called Dr. Stolar and went in to see him. During a very difficult period it was Dr. Stolar who saved our marriage. He involved himself with you and brought his keen intellect and insight to untangle whatever was troubling you. He was utterly unique. He was courageous. Our hearts go out to his wife and daughter, his mother, and all who loved him. There was only one...

I was a patient of Dr. Stolar's. He was a wonderful kind hearted man. He helped me significantly in my life and I will cherish his memory. My heart goes out to his family. I am so sorry for your loss.

I'm so very sorry to hear the very sad news of Dr. Stolar's passing. I send my heartfelt condolences to Dr. Stolar's family, friends, colleagues, students, and clients. Dr. Stolar helped me at a most difficult time in my life, a time when I was in chronic pain following a catastrophic illness. He taught me self-hypnosis, as well as other ways to manage pain. I will always be deeply grateful for his kindness, compassion, and encouragement.

I am shocked and very dismayed to read this news. I only heard about it today. I hope we can have a memorial in Los Angeles and that widespread news of it will be sent. This is a terrible, unexpected loss and a reminder of how precious every moment is.
