Not sure what to say?

Lately I have been thinking of you so much! I find myself asking your advice on situations that are going on in my life. I miss talking to you personally and I hope you hear me. I also wonder if you and my dad are still buddies in Heaven and hope you both are have your own personal clouds to watch over all of us who love and miss you. Love, Marie

Truly a day of sadness. The world has lost a visionary with a great sense of humor and a credit to the automobile business which he truly loved.

I am so very sorry for your loss. The past 10-15 years he didn't manage to visit us down here in Seaside too often, but when he was here he shared his sense of humor. I can hear his laughter now coming out of Bob's office. He remembered me on my "BIG" birthdays (with some help from Bob I'm sure) and significant anniversaries which always touched me. I will always remember him with a smile.

On behalf of the entire Nursing Staff of the Intensive Care Unit of ABSMC, The Summit Campus, we extend our deepest sympathy to Linda and Alix.
We miss you Donald. Your courage, integrity and will to live inspired and touched all our lives. It was an honor to know you.
With love,
The ICU Nurses of Summit Medical Center

Don's passing is a loss we will all feel. He was an incredible businessman and an inspiration to those that met him. I just came back to work for Val Strough Honda and I’m sorry that I’ll miss the opportunity to work more closely with Don. My heart goes out to his family in their time of mourning.

DONALD STROUGH WAS SUCH A GREAT INSPIRATION TO ME. I WORKED FOR HIM AS THE RECEPTIONIST FOR VAL STROUGH CHEVY AND WORKED WITH HIM UNTIL THERE WERE NO MORE WALLS LEFT AT 3330 BROADWAY. I MET A LOT OF GOOD PEOPLE THROUGH HIM. THANK YOU DONALD VAL STROUGH, AND I THANK YOUR FAMILY FOR SHARING HIME WITH US. GOD BLESS YOU

DON STROUGH WAS SUCH AN GREAT INSPRIATION TO ME. I WORKED FOR HIM AS THE RECEPTIONIST FOR VAL STROUGH AND WITH HIM UNTIL THERE WERE NO MORE WALLS LEFT AT 3330 BROADWAY. I ALSO MET A LOT OF GREAT PEOPLE THROUGH HIM. I'LL MISS YOU A LOT.

Kathleen and I will always remember the kindness Don showed toward employees. A true gentleman, and I'm honored to have known him.

I knew Don from 1953 when he was attending Piedmont and I was a Holy Names freshman. Many, many years later I was offered the job of Fleet Manager at Val Strough Chevrolet in Oakland. I worked for him for 5 years until the store closed in 2004. Don and I renewed our friendship and laughed over old times and memories. What a sense of humor he had..what a wonderful kind man he was. I will miss him terribly and will remember him with love. My sympathy, thoughts and prayers, to his wife and...
