Not sure what to say?

I only knew Don for a short time. In that short time i held him in high esteem. You will truly be missed my friend. I will miss talking with you about Cleveland and your years with C.F.D. R.I.P. Don...

Rest in peace sir. The James E. Carlin family

To the family of Mr. Summers, I just want to take this time to express my deepest condolences to your family. I have been Mr. Summer's has neighbor for the last 14 years, and I must say it was such a pleasure living next door to him. He was always kind and very soft spoken. When I would leave home for the day or come back home, it was always a pleasure to see him outside just to say hello and oftentimes hold a brief conversation. He is going to be greatly missed. I pray for your strength...

I knew Don since 1970, (R S One) he was always a pleasure to be around and one of the best to work with. He knew and loved his job as a firefighter and an officer. He will definitely be missed by all who knew him. My condolences to his family for this great loss.

Don was a great officer, firefighter and friend. After his retirement from CFD, I always enjoyed the many times I would see him in his role as funeral escort. As you would expect, he always had a smile and a kind word. God Bless Don and his family. I hope your many good memories bring you comfort at this difficult time.

Don was a true gentlemen, fine and dedicated CFD officer. He lead by example and always was on the top of his game. I will miss him, he will be hard to replace. God Bless the family and all firefighters of CFD.

Captain Summers. You were one of the best to work with and know on the CFD. Rest in Peace Captain.

Rest in Peace Captain Summers you were one of the best to know and work with. It was always a pleasure .

Don was the best! We worked with Don and Marilyn for many years through their Funeral Escort service. They became part of our funeral family and treasured friends. I was so blessed to have known them both for many years. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you in the loss of Don. May your memories surround you. Safe home Don, safe home.
