Donald K. Taber

Anita, I am so sorry to hear of Don's passing recently. You are very fortunate to have spent so many wonderful years with a fine man. I always enjoyed the company of both of you and, in the early years, particularly when you had that wonderful little dog that Don adored. His legacy is one of hard work and good will.

One of the finest people I have ever known. Don's ready smile an cheerfulness always lifted my spirits.
I frequently recall a time when Don was driving a crew change, of 3 of us, to Lewes; it was evening, and in the gathering darkness he missed a turn (probably due to conversation going on in the car). We ended up wandering the wilds of southern Kent Co. in the dark. Eventually, someone spotted a RT. 13 sign and we found our way back to the proper roadway.

I would see Don when he came in to get his allergy shots for the last several years. He was so funny, always with a smile and something to say. He was an awful lot of fun, and I'm glad for his sake that he went quickly, but I know it will be difficult for you in this holiday season. I'll be thinking of you... Mary at Dr Marcotte's office
