Not sure what to say?

I just now heard of Don's passing. I'm so so sorry to his family. Don was a wonderful man who I spent quite a few years with working with the mentally ill homeless population and finding the support and shelter. Heaven sure has gained an angel. He was one of the best for sure--- Ruth Sprague

I am so blessed to have known Don and to have been one of his Servants Center volunteers for several years. His passion to serve the downtown people was inspiring and awesome and so beneficial to all. I think of him when I walk downtown and praise the Lord for Don Tack.

It was such a pleasure to get to know Don. I loved getting to Hear his stories and his passion for the work he did at Servants Center. He was such a great friend. He will truly be missed! -Megan Feyer (aka, the Warden as Don would call me)

I worked as a secretary for Don Tack in 1991, helping him create his mailing list and outreach letters as he began Servants Center, and I got to know him well. I experienced first hand his caring heart for the poor, and I remember how he went out on cold winter nights to help the downtown homeless find shelter. He truly exemplified the love of Jesus.

Mr. Tack was one of my favorite teachers at GRSBM. I got to know him better because I also babysat Steve and Lori while I was a student there. Over the years we stayed in touch via his Servants Center mailings. His life of ministry and service has been an inspiration. I pray God fills you with wonderful memories and comforts you as you grieve with the confidence that he is with Jesus.

I worked with Phyllis as a RN working with mentally ill patients in Grand Rapids and often accompanied Don in the early days of his creating Servant Center. He was a kind, selfless man who on cold, winter days would walk in downtown GR distributing blankets to people living on the streets. He modeled his Savior, Jesus. My sympathies are to this family and friends who survive him.
