Not sure what to say?

This Sunday morning the telephone rang and we both looked at each other and said "Taylor." Don and my husband would call each other every Sunday especially during football season. My husband, Michael, was Don's teacher while he was living in Philadelphia. He was older than Michael by a good nine years but they hit it off right from the start. We kept in touch during Don's various moves such as San Francisco with his beloved sister, Shirley, back out to Montana then again to Spokane...

Don and I were first cousins through our mothers. We spent a lot of time together in our childhood and the memories of those days will always be with me. As we grew into adulthood, we did drift apart for a few years but then managed to reconnect. You were there for me with support when my first husband died and again when my son died. We did manage to see each other a few times over the last several years when I would visit Washington. I will miss our weekly phone calls and the deep...

Don and I are first cousins. We had the opportunity to visit often the last several years. My two oldest daughters visited him several times as well. He cared about them and would ask me how the "brats" were doing. :) The oldest is a teacher in Korea and he would check the weather there often to see what her day might include. The other daughter is a teacher in Spokane and they would share "jabs" at each other. I think he really liked their verbal teasing. Fortunately the daughter in...

I am Don's cousin Juanita. We had many opportunities to talk and check up on one another. My two oldest daughters also visited him and he would always ask me how the "brats" were doing. They knew he cared about them and appreciated them visiting. One of my girls is a teacher in Korea and he told me he always checked the weather there to see what she was experiencing. The other daughter is a teacher in Spokane and fortunately she went with me at Christmas to see him. She loved to "give...

Don and I are first cousins, his dad Paul and my dad Virgil are brothers. Don and I are both the oldest in our families, consequently we have had contact with each other all our lives. Over the last few years, my sister and I have had many opportunities to visit Don. Fortunately, my son and I were able to visit the day before he passed. We were saddened to learn of his passing on January 1st but had the opportunity to pay our last respects to Don. Happy to have had some time with him...

We got reacquainted when I sent a condolence card to him after Shirley´s death. He loved his sister so much as well as his dear grandmother, Emma. I would consider him one of my very best friends. We had many talks about things in our past that he could not articulate or share at the time that led to very painful times. We, my husband and I, even got to visit a few times in person. Those times are treasured. He was crusty but so soft hearted. I got him a couple of stuffed animals to sit on...
