I just found out that a TRUE FRIEND and TEAMMATE of mine at Ferrum College, DON TESTERMAN, passed last year. He will ALWAYS be remembered, by ME, as THE MAN who helped me navigate the WORLD (as a Black kid from Pearisburg, Va) dealing with the racial issues which were prevalent while we were there. I met Don when he would come to participate in the Old Pro Golf Challenge to help raise funds for Child Abuse Prevention agency (CAPA) in Beaufort SC. We quickly became friends to the point he would refer to me as his "adopted baby sister". I have wonderful memories of Don and I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. My prayers to family and friends.

My deepest condolences to the family. He was a part of my life for only a few years, and I wish that I could have gotten to know him better. I have many fond memories of him, and will cherish them always, especially his smile. In his own way, he touched so many, I honestly don't think he knew just how much. I feel fortunate to have known him and I will never forget him.
