TITMUS, Donald E. Of Grand Blanc Township, age 85, died at his home on Tuesday, February 17, 2015. Funeral service will be held 5pm Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Pastor Craig Dockery officiating. Cremation will take place following the service and cremains to be interred at a later date in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation 12pm-5pm Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Don was born Fenton on March 1, 1929 to Agnes (Hale) and Clare Titmus. He served in the United States Navy and worked 34 years at Fisher Body. Don married Shirley Farmer who was his sweetheart and constant companion for 64 1/2 years. They enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, Alaska and spending summers at the lake (Holiday Shores). Don also enjoyed bowling for many years. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; sons, Duane (Becky), and Gary (Dorothy); grandchildren, Jennifer and Matthew (Nicole) and great grandson, Shawn, who was his special buddy; sisters, Nancy (Joe) Duplanty and Sandra Wright; sister-in-law, Phyllis Carboneau-Cox; brother-in-law, Robert Fitchett; and many nieces and nephews; also many friends, especially Chris and Sarah Zarick and Pat Murphy. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Reginald, Richard and Benjamin, sisters, Marilyn, Pat, Donna and Marguerite.
