So sorry to have just learned of Don's passing. We have lots of good traveling and card playing memories of both Don and Betty. No one should struggle because of health and it is good to know that he is now at peace.

I've had the privilege of getting to know Don (Grandpa) over the last 14 years and within this time I saw a man of wisdom and compassion like no other. I'll never forget the walks we used to take at midnight because we were both night owls. We had a lot of fascinating conversations, including one that led me to start speaking with my own father after 10 years of not speaking. He opened my eyes to a lot. Don had incredible will power and will be deeply missed.

I extend my deepest sympathy and prayers to the Topp family. Don was an inspiring and dedicated teacher at Tinley Park High School.

Topp Family...my condolences . Worked with Don for many years in District 228. Good teacher, solid Family man, a credit to our profession. Always knew where you stood with Don... straightforward guy. Enjoyed our relationship. Sorry for your loss.
