Not sure what to say?

Dear Carol,
It is now May 24, 2017. I just read of the passing of your dear Don.

I was employed by Don in 1966. What a remarkable man! A true example of a Gentleman and Christian. It soon became apparent that I didn' have the 'secretarial' skills needed for the position,
so Don, very kindly and, of course, diplomatically,
'let me go', assuring me that he would pay my full salary until I found employment. Don was the true embodiment of a Christian, I found...

At a 2008 CUFI dinner I was seated beside a stately gentlemen and his lovely wife. This gentlemen introduced himself as Don Van Curler. Don was kind enough to give some books to me that night, with his signature card, with Matthew 6:33 written out. Don had signed it as Don + Carol.

I am embarrassed to say that I failed to send a written thank you to Don for his generosity. Just today I went to send a note of thanks to Don, only to find out he's now home with the Lord.

I'll keep...

Dear Sister Carol, Your husband had meant so much to my co-workers & staff, the minute he came to Bob Evans, without him, there wouldn't have been such "double pleasure," expanding all the Bob Evans customers, that he spreaded throughout his tenure. He enjoyed me & my friends' company - I'm sure thankful he was like a good friend next to my radio idol [Jim Beall] and my late aunt, Parthina.

I just recently heard of Don VanCurler's death and would like to say to the family that I am sorry for their loss. Don made it possible for the West Branch Library to be located in the Westgate shopping mall in the early 80's. He gave me and my library colleagues great support in making it a fine place to work. It became,as he clearly saw, a drawing card for the community as well as the many other fine retail places that he brought into the mall. He was known to have great respect for...

I knew Don as a fellow architect in Ann Arbor. I appreciated his generous and sincere collegiality. Kind regards and condolences to his family

I worked for Don and Carl in the 80's. He was a great man and a great mentor to many who came through his businesses. I will never forget the time he took to teach those around him so that they could reach their potential and move on to greater things as he had. That job has been a blessing in my life.

Carol,
Praying for you during this difficlut time. Don was greatly loved by many and will be so missed here on earth.
Looking forward to that great reunion. For the Christian, the best is yet to come.
Blessings,
Elaine and Wilson Rivera

Dear Carol – Although we have not been in Core Group recently and I will be unable to attend the Memorial Service, I wanted you to know that I was saddened to hear that your dear husband has died. How fitting that he went to see Jesus on Easter Day! Please know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers over these next days.
