Not sure what to say?

R.I.P . Don. You were a good friend.

Don was an extraordinary man. He was kind, gentle and so very gifted. I can close my eyes and see his smile. He brought such joy to everyone who knew him. He made all of us feel like his very best friend. He was truly a master of gardening and floral design, touching everyone through his flowers. Cynthia and I were honored that Don designed our wedding arrangements. Pictures in our photo album show the alter towering with live branches of leaves in brilliant fall color. The following...

Don was so talented in many was. I remember when he donated a dinner in his garden as an auction item for the Holden Arboretum "On Holden Pond" summer benefit. We were lucky enough to help him that night such a fun evening. Penny and Stu Theis.

I worked for Don in the late 80s, he was an amazing man who didn´t just do flowers... he did the linens, lighting, dance floors.. you name it.. his warehouse was full of everything you need for a great party or reception! I was lucky to get to work with him and I was very lucky to get to travel with him to Washington DC and other places to work with him, and his amazing creations! When I was with him we got to do two inaugural balls for the first George Bush! It was amazing! And we got to...

Don had the best smile which I will remember fondly. Always enjoyed working with him and his team.

Donald Vanderbrook was an exceptional man who left a trail of beauty wherever he went. He was a true artist who used a pallet of flowers to create his legacy. His personal garden at home rivaled professional gardens anywhere. He cultivated friends everywhere and, although he outlived most of them, those of us left behind know that we lost a very dear man and friend. Connie and Ed Babcock
