Don always had a great jovial laugh and a twinkle in his eye. As Uncles he and his brothers were so young at heart and ready for fun.

We will always remember the first time we met Don. We were at Northern Lights Casino and after registering to play in the Blackjack tournament, I noticed this pleasant looking man leaning against the wall. We said, hello to one another and started visiting. Found out we both were farmers, so had a connection. This begun a new friendship. We enjoyed playing in many blackjack tournaments with Don & Lois. Also fishing trips. Husband Larry went on many more fishing trips than I. ...

My sympathy to Lois and all the family. Ernie always spoke fondly of the escapdes he would get into with the VanderWeyst guys. Some more adventurous than others!!

I was so sorry to learn of Don's passing as well as reading that George was also deceased. I have fond memories of roller skating with and fun chats with them many years ago at Benson as well as with Bevain. I pray that your whole family may be comforted in your time of sorrow. I am so sorry for your loss of my classmate, Don. I always enjoyed talking to Don and Lois at our class reunions the last years. May God strengthen you during this time of grieving. My sympathies to the entire family.
