Not sure what to say?

Fond memories of Don when he worked at West Shore Fire. Always looked forward to his smile and contagious laugh!

Don VanDyke Family, May the Lord Bless you going forward, with the passing of Don. Working with him over the years was always a total pleasure. "He was excellent fire officer, teacher and leader." He will always be just a memory away. Edward Braate

Dan, Janie and Family, May your memories of Don bring you comfort during this sad time. We always enjoyed visiting with him and sharing a laugh. Love and prayers, Dave and Helen

I met Don at the Belding Fire Department back in the 70's. He was selling fire equipment for West Shore and would stop in for coffee and stories (always embellished, no matter who told them). He was always welcomed at the station and loved to laugh and make others laugh as well. So sorry to hear of his passing.

Bob, Dan and Kathy, my sincere sympathy to all of you. I am your mom's cousin. I have very fond memories of your parents. I used to baby sit for all of you and remember your dad driving me home afterwards and always having a conversation on my level. He was a sweet, kind, loving man whom I always admired. I loved both of your parents dearly. I am sure he will be missed by all. I am looking forward to seeing them once more as I know they both loved the Lord. I will be praying for peace...

Don always had a smile. was always happy to see him.

Bob, Dan and Kathy, I am so sorry to see this today. I have been wondering how your dad was doing. I am your mom's cousin and have always admired your dad so much. He was kind, loving and a sweet man that was always upbeat. I always enjoyed the times he would drive me home from babysitting. It was a pleasure just to talk to him as he always talked on my level and never above me. They were a beautiful couple that I will never forget. I loved them both dearly as cousins. Just know you...

Bob & Family , Sorry to see this today . Was a Wonderful Person . Prayers to your Family Sue

I loved this man! He was my training Captain and later my Battalion Chief. We worked at Division and Brown together where he shared many stories that had a certain flair! I always looked forward to seeing him at our annual Firefighters Building Corporation's Meeting/dinner. May he rest in peace.
