Donald Edward Voorhees

I got his book on watercolor as a gift from a old lady and I just started reading it after it sitting on my shelf forever. I googled to see how he's doing now and unfortunately he's passed. May his art and legacy live on

Hello I just found one of his books in a thrift store and googled him . I never met him but he was an amazing artist and just wanted to let u know his presence is still felt and he is still inspiring people´s lives ...mayb this was suppose to be his way of him saying hello to u. Much luv ..

I am very sorry to learn just now of Don's passing. I first met him on Cape Cod where I had the privilege of buying several of his pieces, some of which later ended up in his book. When I moved to Highlands in 2000, I was thrilled to learn he lived just one town over, and we were able to get together with some degree of regularity. One wonderful thing despite this sad news is that Don's legacy will live on not just in his original artwork but in his influence on other artists: Just yesterday...

I have just learned of Don's passing. It is with great sadness I send my prayers and condolences to his family. I also just learned about Terry's passing. My prayers to all. I worked for them as a picture framer/manager for a long time. So many great memories. They will be missed.

I have had the pleasure and honor of not only knowing Don for over 45 years, but of having him (and Terry) as a friend.

His great compassion , his caring for others, his pureness and gentleness of Spirit, informed his beautiful art, his teaching , his writing and how he communicated and interacted with others .

He touched everyone with his Grace, Wisdom and depth of Soul which will continue to embrace, cradle and inspire through the memories which he helped create in all of...

Dear Voorhees Families,
We own some of Don's paintings and they have brought us so much enjoyment over the years. We always enjoyed his December gatherings and our conversations about possibly being related. He was a great artist and person. May he rest in peace.
