Don was a hs classmate, opponent in various baseball leagues, fellow '69 AU grad. A very good man, and a great person to play with or against so many years ago.

I am certain he leaves hundreds of grieving friends.

We didn't know Donald Ray, but knowing his father, we know he was a blessed person who must have had 2 of the best parents ever. We, and our grandchildren have been guests of the Syracuse Skychiefs, courtesy of Don Waful, and saw the musical about their 2 lives. Donald Ray had the best, and I'm sure his life was a tribute to his parents. This blood disease came too soon to too nice a person, but his life was, I'm sure, more rich than most and we all have to be grateful for that. Our best to...

mr. waful, pete my heart felt condolences go out to your famlies. just saturday i was talking to the treasure of the syracuse chiefs (wearing a 1934 chiefs hat)and i made mention of your whole family and how much you enjoyed the chiefs and the syracuse community as a whole. I went to school with don ,played baseball and football with him but (i'm not positive)he was one of the best lefties to play the game . GOOD LUCK to your famlies and maybe our paths will cross under better circumstances....
