Not sure what to say?

I was a young girl when Rev Walden pastored Chicago Lawn Methodist Church. He confirmed me into the church. Rev Walden marched accross the Selma bridge and got arrested. The next Sunday, all the adults were whispering about it. I remembered thinking, "So what? The Apostle Paul got arrested too!" My condolences to the family.

I'm sorry that I'm just now seeing this. My condolences to his family and friends. I remember looking up to him as an impressive man many years ago, but I'm awed by all he accomplished in life, described so beautifully in his obit - he certainly had a life worth celebrating.

In memory of Rev. Don Walden´s life and ministry - he enriched and blessed so many lives through his life-long example. I send my deepest sympathy to his family and friends, and I will continue asking that God will grant you grace and peace. God bless, +Bishop Frank J. Beard

I am just now reading this man's life story and am so impressed! I live on the other side of Evergreen but people like him who walked the talk during the civil rights movement inspire me to do more of what they did!!! My condolences to his family.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

A wonderful Christian gentleman, faithful husband, great father to his 3 girls and doting grandfather to their children. Awesome man who will be remembered fondly and greatly missed.

Amazing man. What a life. Wishing much comfort to all his children and grandchildren.

What a beautiful life and remembrance; thank you for sharing this.
