Only knew him as Don who was a friend to myself and my family. My children loved when he told them fascinating stories. I only discovered this moment he’d passed on; and I’m sorry he has. My Heartfelt Condolences to his wife Lin; and All his Loved ones. In my prayers, amen

Don, you were one of my dearest and kindest friends. We missed your leadership in our little group when you & Lin moved to Florida, but your happiness was more important to us. We are so glad for the time we spent with you, and for the years you & Lin spent together. I will listen to hear you playing when the stars are bright and the moon is full. My love to Lin and the rest of your family. I'm sure she will be listening for your music, too.

It was a privilege for me to serve with Don in the U.S. Navy8 Band in Washington DC. I am happy to say I was also able to connect with him at his house in Hollywood CA and was happy to be able to host he and Lin at my house in Maine. What a rich legacy he has.
