Donald Wallace

I am looking at photos of my military service with Don and recalling fond memories of our time together during those years. My prayers are for his family as I am sure they miss Don as the many of us who knew him miss him also.

I had the great privilege of knowing Don for the last 3 years of his life and found him to be such a joy. He was my neighbor and I will really miss him.

This is probably a strange memory/condolence. I was a best friend of Don Childs and met Don Wallace at the wedding. I have often thought of the Childs children and and their tragic loss of both parents in an airplane crash. But..the wonderful gift of Don and Jolene Wallace to take them into their family. Our sympathy at Mr. Wallace's passing and if this note could connect us with any family we would be grateful.

I have good memories of serving with Don in Bad Hersfeld, Germany during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Although we were far from Cuba were very close to the enemy at Checkpoint Charlie near the Berlin Wall. Don was very to committed to serving his beloved United States of America in the U. S. Army. Rest well Don, I´ll look for you in the Hereafter.

I met him for certain in 2013, at the celebratory, inclusive, bride & groom shower for Angela Child's and Steve Gibson. He graciously in the frivolity that is required. Honestly, some f the games and poems we're silly. I am so glad we have the hope of heaven and a new earth. Thank you Lord.
