I love you dad. No words explain the time we had.

I will remember Don well because he was such an interest and self educated man. We had many a brief talk when I worked for the Door man Brad next door.
Brief because Don was always headed on to whatever was next, yet he always had the time to share his thoughts and inspired views in a neighborly way. It was sad when Don got sick because I knew he would have rather been looking for some wild river and a place under the stars or plying his trade & craft.
People like Don never really...

Don came into my life at a time when I was needing friendship. With just his warm smile and his gentle friendly way he soon found his way into my heart. I have never met someone who was from the inside out, so easily and completely lovable.
I am missing him in his great appreciation of life, music, dance and being outdoors...
It seems that as this man walked upon the earth he didn't seem to disturb a blade of grass, openly sharing of himself and of his wisdom.
I can see him...

I will always remember Don and his uncanny presence on the day my mother died. My family was in crisis that day and it was Don who was able to calm and comfort us in our moment of need. He was such a gentle man, full of love and life. I will miss the thought of him.

I met Don when I was a kid. He was the only friend of my big brother Bob, who did not pick on me as a child. He was so kind. We discovered we had the same name and birthday. We then became life long friends..no...family..brothers..
I have way to many beautiful memories to write them all. We spent many many hours hiking, camping, telling stories, and most importantly laughing. I will miss his harmonica playing around the campfire. His smile his laugh ...until we meet again my friend.

My time with Don was brief. Getting to know Don during his last weeks of life was like opening the most exquisite package. Layered with beautiful wrapping.I opened the box. There lied the most precious gift of all....love, compassion, profound wisdom and the truest freedom I've ever known a person to have. Don was an amazing gift to all of us. I am forever changed from our brief encounter. Peace to you & your beautiful family.

This beautiful man will never be forgotten, Don gave gifts of the heart to all who knew him. His unselfish acts of kindness, love, wisdom and pure joy will forever be etched in our hearts and mind. Don's welcoming smile brought you into his world and you would never be the same. I will never again meet the likes of you and am privilaged to have known you, thank you Don for being my friend.

Don was a beautiful human being and a loving friend. I am a different person for having known him. He loved life, he loved people. I loved him. May we honor his memory by loving each other just a little bit more.
