Don Zeman was my dear friend. We met in 1969 when the Towson Golf and Country Club was forming. I was the mouth and Don was the brains. He was also the President of the Leukemia Society, MD chapter. I joined Don at the Leukemia Society just before he was transferred to Louisville, then I became President (for 9 years, thanks Don!)
We stayed in touch. We attended the 1983 Kentucky Derby won by Sunny's Halo. Don moved back to Towson years later and we've had a standing Tuesday...

Mr. Zeman hired me at KPMG. I had great respect for Mr. Zeman. He actually interviewed me for my job at KPMG and I really enjoyed working for him. He was a very sincere individual and cared deeply about his KPMG employees. For years after he left the Louisville KPMG office he would call back and check on all those individuals that were still with KPMG.

To Jane and the children, I wish the best and May God bless and keep you. I know you will miss him greatly but hold tight to...
