It's such a surprise to hear that Donn has passed away. He was a remarkable artist both in his painting and in his music. His colored pencil drawings were particularly intriguing to me. His intricacy of subjects, florid use of color, symbolism and ever-present surrealism always revealed a stream of consciousness that was at the same time profound, whimsical, and often humorous.
