Preceded in death by parents, Theodore and Ruby Mattea; wife, Patricia McGowan Mattea; infant daughter, Colleen Ann Mattea.
Survived by wife, Dorothy Stille Mattea; children: Donald (Diann) Stille, Cheryl Stille Antalek (Joe LoRusso), Gerald (Jennifer) Mattea, Daniel Mattea, Carolyn (Gordon) Huls, Rick (Debi) Mattea, Kevin (Karen) Stille; 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
VISITATION: Monday at Mortuary 5-8pm, with Prayer Service at 7pm. FUNERAL SERVICE: Tuesday, 10:30am, St. Columbkille Catholic Church, Papillion. Interment: Omaha National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to Family Choice.

I knew Pete & son Dan during my years in insurance claims. It is essential in that line of work to know people in relevant fields who are scrupulously honest, professionally competent, reliable. My company could ALWAYS trust `Pete´s ADA´ for thorough, accurate & timely appraisal of motor vehicle damage. He & Dan were a true pleasure to work with & it was our longstanding practice to refer our damage appraisals exclusively to them. The LORD granted Pete a long sojourn on this earth; now at last he has gone to whatever eternal reward awaited him. Requiescat in pace, old friend.
