Dr. Donn A. Wolfson

I worked with Dr. wolfson at St. Vincent and then at Parma for many years. I was saddened by the news of his passing.
He was a great clinician, and truly a gifted physician.

My thanks and appreciation goes to Dr. Wolfson, who gave me encouragement to think on my feet and reach for the stars. I still laugh about our conversations--he shared his humor with me and knew I would giggle at him. What a loss for Parma Hospital and the medical community-he was an expert in his field and called it like he saw it. He will be missed by all of us. Thanks to his interest, I am where I am!

My mom, my sister MaryLou, and I were sitting together at my house when we received the news of your husband's Donn death. We are saddened by this and can only begin to understand how you must be feeling. At the same time we remember all the times you, my sister Joanne, Harriet, Donn, Nat, and Alan sat around our dining table in Pawtucket. Please accept our condolences. I’d like to express my sympathies to the Wolfson family during your time of great loss. I knew Dr. Wolfson only slightly, as he periodically took call for the pulmonary group at my former place of employment, St. Vincent Charity Hospital. He was always very professional any time I called him with issues related to our ICU patients. Dr Wolfson was a friend, mentor, healer and a leader. What a tribute to this world! He will be missed greatly by his family, patients and staff. Thank you for all that you have done for me and everyone else whose lives you have touched. To the Wolfson family your husband, father and son leaves a great legacy.

My husband and I never had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Wolfson. However, Beth has told stories about their travels and has always spoken well of her husband. I wish I could have met him. It is wonderful that they have had so many happy years together. Our hearts go out to his family. Our prayers are with you.
