Not sure what to say?

Dear Dr. and Mrs Arzt and Andrea:
Donna had been in my thoughts a lot recently. Having misplaced her contact information and remembering her birthday was in early December I went on line to look for her Syracuse address, only to find this tragic news. Donna's time was too short. She was always willing to share her sharp intellect, compassion and wry sense of humor. When we were young and in close contact she enriched my life enourmously. From what I have read she never ceased to do...

To Donna's family,
I was so sorry to hear of your loss.
Donna is certainly a person that will be with me the rest of my days. The fond memories we shared will put a smile on my face through the time ahead.

To the Arzt Family,

I grew up with Andrea and have such fond memories of Donna and what an incredibly intelligent person she was. I am so very sorry for your loss and will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

I went to the Pan Am103 trial every day in NY and also 4 times to Holland. Donna was there almost every day I was there. She was SO wonderful and just what we needed. She would explain things to us, but also she was SO compassionate. I will never forget how cute she was in her cat earrings and how much fun she was when we needed a good laugh. I will always remember and love her.

To Professor Arzt’s family and friends, please accept my deepest condolences for her passing. More than a professor, Professor Arzt was a great mentor to many of us. She was always willing to listen and laugh through both the happy and dark days of law school. I had the privilege of working with Professor Arzt in both the Global Law and Practice Center and, memorably, in her yard. As I lay paver stones for pathways throughout Professor Arzt’s property (to help her increasingly unsteady...

Alvin and Lois,
My deepest sympathy, my thoughts are with you.

To the family and friends of Professor Arzt, please accept my deepest sympathies. Professor Arzt was my international law professor at SU and also the supervisor when I participated in the Sierra Leone Project. I have many wonderful memories of my classes with her and all that I learned. I am so sorry for your loss.

Alvin and Lois , Charles called us and
I was able to get this on the internet.
May our deepest sympathy confort you in your hour of sorrow.

Syracuse Law School has lost one of its finest teachers and scholars. Donna contributed an extraordinary amount to the education of thousands of law students -- who benefitted immensely from the huge amounts of her time, energy and caring that she gave them. The law school benefitted immensely from both her development and stewardship of its widely known and respected international law program and her widely respected scholarship about international human rights. Personally, Donna's...
