DONNA REE BEACH BULLOCK

BULLOCK, DONNA REE BEACH - 83, died January 9, 2015, three days after the death of her beloved husband, Rupert E Bullock. She was born August 20, 1931, in Jerseyville, Illinois, the youngest of six children of Froman Augustus and Helen Dorothy Hunter Beach. Surviving sisters are Demetra Cherry and Helen Alderson. While attending Washington University in St. Louis, she met her husband, Rupert. Married in 1951, they remained in love and committed to each other throughout their lives. There are three surviving children, Mark Thompson Bullock, Steven R Bullock, and Ann Colleen Bullock Grimmer; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Donna Ree was a loving mother to her children and taught them to love learning, nature, music and art. She went back to school to finish her BS in education and a masters in library science from the University of Tennessee. She taught 4th and 5th grade for Knox County Schools and worked for the Knoxville Public Library. She was a member of West Avenue Presbyterian Church. Memorial service for Rupert E. and Donna Ree Bullock will be at 3:00 p.m., Monday January 12, West Ave Presbyterian Church, 1015 West Franklin Blvd, Gastonia, NC.
