Condolences to family...a wonderful woman who touched so many lives in the Brooklyn community. She will be missed

Our condolences to the Burk family. Donna was a lovely person and will be missed by all who knew her. I cut Harold's hair when I barbered in Jackson and later in my Brooklyn Barbershop (The Village Barber). When Harold wasn't able to come to the barbershop anymore, I went to his home and gave him haircuts. Lots of fond memories of Harold and Donna. Roger Reed, Brooklyn

Shirley and I were saddened to learn of Donna's passing. We have wonderful memories of our time together at Western-Southern Life. And the many visits to Lake Columbia. May the God of comfort rest with her family.

Donna was a remarkable person. I knew her from the Beach Bar. She not only was the Beach Bar soup lady, she also made our carrot cake, which was delicious. She worked hard for a long time, only retiring from the Beach Bar in January of 2020. She was kind and caring and never wanted to put anyone out. She was an independent lady, and she will be missed.
