Donna Carlsen

Some of my best memories are from being in girl scouts with Mrs. Carlsen as our troop leader. My love of hiking and camping at Devils Lake started with the trips she took us on. The weekends spent at Woodhaven, the meetings at Sunnyside school, I even remember babysitting for Corey when she lived by Roosevelt Rd. Your mom was funny, compassionate, generous with her time, and she made such an impact on my life. I am thankful for the time that we shared. My heartfelt condolences to her...

My condolences to the family. I was in BSA Troop 5 with Mr Einar Carlsen and Eils at Lincoln Elementary in the late 60's. Will always remember their patience as teachers. I'll say "Thanks" to the Carlsen family now for my Camp Oh-Da-Ko-Ta campmate, Mr. Russell Willard, who in hindsight was a great asset to scouting but was lost. And we certainly sing Auld Lang Syne to the Danish Brotherhood.
