Live - Love - Laugh
Donna lived by those three small words. She was a very loving Mother, Fiancée and Friend. Donna had a heart of gold; she always knew what to say to anybody who needed to talk or shoulder to cry on. She laughed often and always had a pot of coffee going for you anytime. She enjoyed a great bargain, taking pictures, animal rescue, plants and her garden, sending and receiving funny emails and most of all Ronnie's Hawaiian shirts. Donna was planning her upcoming wedding and was incredibly crafty. She was a cancer survivor and participated in the 2006 Relay for Life. Donna was very competitive about raising money for the Relay for Life, which put her at the top of our team. Donna will remain in our hearts and minds forever. She had an infectious attitude and smile. We all Love you!!
Donna was born in Culver City, CA and passed in Bakersfield, CA. She is survived by her fiancé, Ronnie McCraw; oldest son and daughter-in-law, Lance and Shannon Dewitt; "the boys" Jake and Putter; brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Diana Turnbeaugh; niece and nephew, Karen and John Turnbeaugh; cousin, Sandy and her husband, Les Sharp; her "practicing grandbaby" Noralee Chamberlain and too many friends to name. Donna's parents, Don and Bessie Turnbeaugh; grandparents, Jessie and Rachel Pierce and dear friend, Paul Schaeffer precede her in death. Her youngest son, Solon Dewitt will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Memorial service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park Chapel, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Sunday, September 3, 2006, at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Steve Seymour will officiate. Immediately following the memorial service family and friends are invited to join for a celebration of life at North of the River Veterans Hall, 400 West Norris Road.
A memorial fund has been set up in Donna's behalf: Donna Dewitt Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 600, Shafter, CA 93263. Make checks payable to: American Cancer Society. All donations on Donna's behalf will go towards Relay for Life.

I used to service Donna's house for pest control way back in 2001-03 and I will always remember her being a kind and friendly person. I've always wanted to pay my respects since I learned about this tragedy years ago. RIP Donna!

Good Morning My Friend,
It's hard to believe it has been 10 years. I speak of you from time to time and think of the great talks we use to have. The old job has moved to Colorado and it was a bitter sweet situation. I saw a lot of memories shut the doors and leave. I know you're doing well and know you're watching over everybody.
