Sunapee, NH - Donna La Rue Deas Dries died unexpectedly on September 24th, 2025 in Lebanon, New Hampshire at the age of 79.



Donna was born on November 22nd, 1945 in Atlanta, Georgia to Betty Jackson Deas.



She graduated from Cazenovia College in New York, with a degree in secretarial studies. She married Harrison Peter Roberts in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey in 1967.  The couple welcomed two boys into their home and Donna taught them about: caring for a family, the art of cooking, acting with benevolence, and a devotion to selflessness.



Her children remember her as a loving and devoted mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals and treat others with kindness and respect.



Donna was accomplished at making everything she touched beautiful, whether it be: crafting jewelry and beadwork; decorating her home; painting; or wrapping the abundant gifts she gave to family and friends.



She loved and doted upon her pets and was dedicated to being present in her grandchildrens’ lives, Granddaughter; Taylor Roberts Sousa Grandson; Graham Roberts and Great Grandson; Luke Sousa and always present at all of her great grandson, Luke's, sporting games.  



Donna is predeceased by her parent, Betty Deas, Atlanta, Georgia.
Surviving family members include her sisters: Melissa Deas, Vermont; Melanie Gent, New York; Tracy Deas, New York; and her sons Harrison Roberts, New Hampshire; and Lee Roberts, Montana.



A celebration of life is scheduled for her birthday, Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 12:00-2:00 P.M. at 49 Village Road, Wilmot, NH.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Donna’s life.

Donna was my best friend and neighbor while she lived in Skaneateles NY. We did the high school thing and later she would invite me to visit her at Cazenovia College for frat parties and such. I remember her 18th birthday (legal to drink in NY !!!) fell on the day President John F Kennedy was assassinated . Everything was closed except bars and we tried to make the best of it. We kept in touch and attended each other's weddings but lost touch over the years. I will always ...
