Not sure what to say?

I miss you Grandma!

I think about you a lot.

My earliest memories of you are when Sara and I would stay over night and you would make us popcorn with Molly McButter...always the best! Then you would show us how to crochet strings:)

I think about playing hop scotch on the driveway and trying to find the thimble after you hid it from us in the living room. You always came up with something fun for us to do.

I think about the egg salad sandwich you always had ready...

Hi again mom, well it was mothers day yesterday, my first without you, the boys and I had a wonderful day! We planted flowers for you, in your honor. I picked out Violas...it has almost been a year now and things are getting better, I still think about you a lot but not with sadness anymore, with happiness, my tears are not of sorrow but joy. I am mostly alone now without family but I am sure you know that. And I want to thank you for catching Jesse when he fell, he made me laugh when he...

Hi mom,
I miss you so much mom, sometimes it hurts so bad. It seems like every time I do laundry there is a new dime in the bottom of the washer, I leave it there. After a while (I think you want my attention) they start coming out of the dryer when I pull the clothes out, they fall all over and I smile then I cry, I cry so hard because it makes my heart hurt. It makes me think of you and how much I miss you. The boys miss you too, yes even Jesse will say "are we going to grandmas"?...

Hi Mom,

It has been six months since you left us. I miss you every day. Mattie misses you too. Out of the blue she will say "I miss Grandma".

I want to thank you:

-for all of the great memories you have left me
-for all of the sacrifices you made to make our lives good
-for all of the love you showed me and my family
-for the "parrot" legacy =)
-for teaching me to be honest and fair (except when you played cards)
-for teaching me how to play...

I will always remember Donna as being a very cheerful, energenic, and fun person.

Son of Ray Swanson a cousin of Gordon

Some of the things I remember and love about my mom...

She would rub my stomach when I was sick, I will always remember her dry little scratchy hands.

When I would come home from school she would be standing in the kitchen smiling, always happy to see me.

The clothes she sewed for me, some of my best memories are wearing the dresses she made for me.

All of the work she did to prepare for our family outings, and we did alot, and then to clean up...

Every Wednesday here we get three garbage size bags of Bread, and I always think of grandma, and how much she loved making bread, and collecting four leaf clovers. I remember the way she smelled.

I remember her walking down the street to me when I fell off my bike that time, and wiping my butt when I couldn't.

I remember her letting me and brandon run around like dogs and her feeding us bacon bits.

I remember helping her cook and do dishes, and her teaching...

My Mom…

I remember coming in the house after school to the smell of freshly baked bread or beef roasting with potatoes.

I remember when I had an ear or stomach ache and she would set with me on the coach rubbing
my ear or stomach to comfort me.

I remember the night she had her heart attack I was living with her and Dad at that time and I
came home with a sore thumb from writing or using the computer and she got the heating
pad for me, all the...

I have many fond memories of Donna and her sister Bev on camping trips to Pierz. Those two ladies always knew how to have fun! One night Terri and I had a laughing attack about 1 AM and we were camped next to Gordie and Donna and the next morning we apologized and she smiled and said it was nice to hear that we were having fun! The last time I saw Donna was a couple of years ago on the annual camping/golfing trip and I ended up visiting a couple of the local establishments with Donna,...
