Not sure what to say?

Mrs. Greaves was a former teacher of mine at Kennedy High School. She was a wonderful teacher, and person. I'm so sorry for your loss. - Christina McGrath Killgore

My husband and his buddies worked for Mr. Roof quite a while back and had kind words for Herbie and his beloved wife - I wish I had met her! Jeff's wife, Kristina

Donna Kay Poet Greaves was my friend since 1943. We both lived on Union in Dearborn. We have been down many roads together. Sometimes she drove so fast I missed some of the view. One time she went in reverse and to this day I think the speedometer was at 50 mph. Jeff and Kurt were friends with my sons Mark and Terry when they were all young. Mrs. Greaves was a wonderful lady. I had her twice in High School. She had an amazing energy about her. She was the main reason that I have loved reading as much as I do. She will be missed but never forgotten. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Greaves family and friends.

Mrs. Greaves was a beautiful lady and all of us who had the privilege of knowing her has lost a great Instructor and Friend with her passing. I enjoyed being in her classes and so did my daughter. I want to express my heart felt condolences to her husband, Mr. Greaves who was also our teacher, and all of their family. We love you very much.

Kath is so right - we loved going to the Greaves - they really knew how to throw a pizza party! I can picture Donna sitting with me at their player piano helping me with the pedals - she was so kind and warm and yes, she sure did make you feel special. I am so sorry for your loss - I have been thinking of all of you. Love, Eileen McIntyre Hruska

I remember Donna from the time I was a kid and one of the most exciting things my parents could say to my sister (Eileen) and me was "We are going to visit the Greaves." Because we knew that meant boundless fun (cookouts, go-karts and other adventures) and being around Donna and Herb and their kids. Donna had a wonderful smile and an infectious laugh and always radiated a sense of fun and warmth. It was very special to have Donna and Herb at my wedding, and she was the most wonderful guest...
