Donna Herbst

I first met Donna at Santa Fe Farmers Market and last saw her volunteering at the Santa Fe Botanical Garden. My garden has taught me that though birds fly away and flowers fade their songs and beauty forever remain as joyful memories. Donna left joyful memories with me and many others.

Donna was a wonderful caring person and a good friend. I will miss her deeply. My condolences to Richard and her daughters and their families. She will always be in my heart, thoughts, and prayers.

Donna was such a spark of a woman and someone my parents—my mother especially—knew and loved dearly. Ever since we moved to the area some 15+ years ago, Donna and Richard became fast friends of the family and frequently went to dinner and other outings with my parents. It was always a joy to see Donna outside gardening or walking her dog. The neighborhood won’t be the same without her ♥

Donna was a great neighbor and although I did not know her well her interest in others was evident from the start. She was a no nonsense person that had a big heart. We will miss seeing her walk her dog. Sending loving thoughts to Richard and family.

I loved my aunt and will miss her dearly. I helped write the obituary and was amazed at how many lives she touched and helped throughout her entire life. Please do not send flowers, I did not make it clear in the obituary.
