Donna Parish

It was a joy to get to know Donna after she moved down here. She was a wonderful ' story teller' because she had lived such an interesting life. I miss hearing them.

Going thru GR Press obits like I do occasionally and routinely, I first recognized the Parish name then I also recalled the Becker name associated with the Parish name - names from Holy Trinity Parish where I grew up. We were active in the Parish and neighborhood. I remember, in particular, Beckers at Holy Trinity Grade School. Good memories. Over the years since my sister Yvette married into the Becker family I had met Donna several times but never knew her well. Two years ago when she was ready to sell her home in Grand Marais and move back down here I had the pleasure of getting to know her better.
