Rossi Funeral Home - Scotch Plains Obituary

Donna Marie Romano, 62, of Avenel, died on Wednesday, June 29, 2016. The funeral will be on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from the Rossi Funeral Home at 8:15am. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30am at St. Andrew's R.C., Avenel. The Entombment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. The Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4-7pm on Tuesday, July 5, 2016.

Donna was born in Plainfield, lived in Scotch Plains, and settled to Avenel in 1983. Donna was a Homemaker. She was a loving, caring, and devoted wife and mother. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society at St. Andrew's. Dennis and her were a Pre-Cana couple at St. Andrew's for couples getting ready for marriage. Donna loved her pets as much as she loved her children. Donna loved to sing and go to Karaoke with Dennis. She was a very kind heart person to everyone she met.

Donna is predeceased by her parents Nicholas and Mary, and her two sisters Patricia and Linda. Donna is survived by her husband Dennis; her two daughters Wendy and Patricia; her son Nicholas and fiancé Jenell; and many adoring nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Sorry for your loss. I wish I could be there for this, but unfortunately, I have other obligations. Either way, though, your mother will be missed. I may have only gotten to see her on occasion, but I've always had a very positive impression of her. She struck me as genuinely nice and responsive.
