I bad the privilege of meeting Donna at the legacy. She always had a smiling face and was always so friendly. She became a great friend to my mother Kate Lucas. They enjoyed their time together and even though she was older than mom she always looked after her. She was even helping mom water her plants outside because she knew she loved them. She adored her son and family which I wish I could of met.

Mrs. Roper taught me typing and journalism in 1963-64. She was more than a teacher; she was a dynamic person capable of pushing you toward your potential while having fun at it all the way. On top of all this, she was a Cardinals fan, too! If only more teachers were like her.

I remember Donna when I was much younger, she was good friends with my Mom, LaVerne, and would come to the house and play bridge with the rest of the girls. She would always sneak me candy when Mom wasn't looking. She will be missed. Sending hugs to the family.

I had Mrs. Roper as a teacher at Culler Junior High. She made me want to do better and excel. She was a gifted teacher I will always remember her.

I extend my sympathy to you, Dana. Our Mom´s were very dear, long time friends. What a wonderful neighborhood N. 60th Street was. I always thought very highly of your parents and you. May she now join her loved ones.
