Read MoreDonna Jo graduated with me at Grand Island Senior high. She also was my roommate at Hastings College and I was a bridesmaid at her wedding. We kept in touch all these years and I am so sad she is gone. My sympathies to her sons and grandchildren.

Donna was my 6th grade teacher at Minter Bridge. I was fortunate enough to stay in contact with her for many years. She became more than just my teacher but my mentor and dear friend. She even took the time to attend my wedding and baby shower.
Donna inspired me to become a teacher. As I wrap up my 26th year with the Hillsboro District, I still share fond stories of how she inspired me.
I will forever be grateful to Donna for sharing her love of teaching with me.

Donna and Merle were wonderful neighbors on Lilywood. I so enjoyed sharing book with Donna as well as visiting in general. She will be miss and remembered fondly as a lovely woman!
