Not sure what to say?

Ms. Thornton and I taught English at Coldwater High School together. After getting to know her, I found her to be a source of inspiration. She always provided a warm smile and words of comfort or encouragement whenever I needed it, not to mention a good laugh from time to time. When she told me that she would not return to Coldwater, my heart was broken because we had just really gotten to know each other. My fondest memories of her were putting together a Black History Program that we...

Ms.Thornton was one of the best teachers at Coldwater High School and she will be truly missed

Ms.Thornton was my favorite teacher when I was in the 7th grade she was always their for me when I needed her. Ms.Thornton will be missed at Coldwater High School.

I remember when Donna told me that she had been dignosed with breast cancer. She hoped to be able to get through treatment quickly because she wanted to return to her students. When I told her that my husband had passed away, she asked if there was anything she could do. She was a wonderful person to work with. She always was willing to go the extra mile for her sstudents. Donna will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to her family. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers....

I don't think it has set in for us that you are really gone, in some small way we are hoping you are still at the hospital awaiting our visit. I know that we will find some comfort someday in the fact that you were at peace with the idea of leaving this world to join the next one, the smile on your face proved that. In the lords prayer it says "forgive those who trespass against us", I don't know a person who was more willing to do this than you. You had a forgiving heart, and a guiding voice...

When I reflect on some of the memories of Donna, it seems like yesterday.  I remember spending one summer at the Thornton's.  She would give money to Cindy, Keith and me so that we could go to the corner store.  One time,Keith was upset because Donna gave me more change than she gave him. Six years ago, she made the veil for my wedding dress. She provided the crown for my dress and it could not have been better if I had bought it from a designer.  Also, she did the decorations for my...

My Dearest Mommy - - - I sit here reading all of the warm thoughts from friends, co-workers and family, and I know how much you are loved. I've talked on the phone to so many of your old friends over the past few days and they are still in shock at your passing. We cry together, then laugh together, remembering and loving you. As I sit here now putting together the program or running errands, helping to bring together the memorial service to honor you, I sometimes feel your presence beside...

It's so hard to believe that you are really gone. The Bible teaches us that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. When I last saw you, your spirit had already left your body. The expression on your face was a small smile, which looked so incredibly peaceful. You were such a wonderful presence and will be greatly missed. I am glad for you that you were able to leave this life on your own terms at your designated time. However, I am sad for all who knew and loved you...
