Dr. Van Raaphorst was my first and most impactful history professor throughout my college experience. As a student of history, I was mesmerized by her ability to lecture for nearly an hour and barely look at any notes while I labored to write down every word she said. I just went through my 1998 binder I made for the French Revolution. I was mesmerized by your class at Cuyahoga Community College. You inspired my passion for history and I continue to learn as much as I can to this day. I became a teacher.
I was hoping to hear you speak somewhere again; that is why I looked you up today.

To the family of Ms. Van Raaphorst,
She was one of the few teachers I remember from the dungeons of the old CCC-Western Campus (before it was torn down). I took a History 101 class where she was the instructor (somewhere around 1972) and I thoroughly enjoyed her teaching and personality. I also received a very good grade. Rest in Peace Ms. Donna Van Raaphorst.
