Donna Warner Obituary

1927 ~ 2018
Donna Warner, 90, of West Valley City, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on April 9, 2018.
Donna was born June 21, 1927 in Meadow, Utah to Joseph Leo and Velma Bushnell Stott. She married her high school sweetheart Jerald Ray Warner on July 17, 1945 in Meadow, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti L.D.S. Temple. Donna graduated from Millard High School.
She worked for Sperry Univac for 24 years, retiring as a Lead Line Supervisor. She also worked hard all her life to help provide for her family, which she loved dearly. She was so proud of her yard and flower garden, and it was a delight to appreciate it with her. She enjoyed every opportunity to gather with family to celebrate the holidays and especially the time in the summer at Seeley Lake, Montana. These events created lasting family bonds, of which we are all so grateful. She was a devoted cook especially memorable were her cream pies, and pecan logs. And her Thanksgiving dinners were unforgettable.
Donna's hobbies included crocheting afghans, quilting, shopping at thrift stores, and "dumpster diving", always proudly showing off her "treasures". Her very favorite "recreational" sites were Wendover, and Mesquite, Nevada
Donna is survived by her daughter Sheila (Tim) Alexander, Salt Lake; daughter in law Vickie, St George; Randy (Lonnie), St George; Neal (Tami), South Jordan; 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Ray, son Jerald and her parents, brothers Joe and Ben, and sisters Nadine, Stella, Leola, and Reah.
A Tribute to Donna Mae will be held Saturday, April 14, starting at 1:00 pm at the Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City. Casual attire is recommended, food and drinks will be served. There will be a short program at 1:30 pm. The burial will occur at 3:00 pm after this celebration of her life.
The family expresses its extreme thanks and appreciation for the loving and attentive care she received from the staff at The Coventry and Inspiration Hospice.

Loved aunt Donna and Uncle Ray. Always a fun time when we stayed with them. I remember her sloppy joes at the LeeMar house when Sheila had a boy/girl party. It was my first combined experience and I thought I was so grown up. Sheila put make-up on my eyes and I looked fabulous❤Prayers and hugs to Sheila Neal and Randy and their families.
